White Plains Family Law Attorney
Comprehensive Matrimonial Law Services
Some of the clients who come to us in need of matrimonial law services feel lost or afraid. Some clients are upset with the conduct of their spouse. Clients need an attorney to provide them with counsel and guidance through the process. Clients also need an attorney who will be honest with them, no matter the issue or the consequence. If you are facing a divorce or other family law matter, it is critical to work with an attorney you can trust. Prospective clients should be weary of attorneys who promise them certain and definite results. While clients may take comfort in these empty promises, no attorney can guarantee a specific outcome and clients should be suspicious of such representations. Lawrence B. LaRaus, Esq. only guarantees what he can control; that he will be attentive to you and your matter; that he will be accessible 24/7 if necessary; that no decision or settlement will be reached without your full understanding of the terms and your voluntary consent, after a thorough discussion of all options; that he will aggressively and zealously represent you in all matters; and most importantly that he will always be honest with you, even if it is not what you might not want to hear at that moment.
Lawrence B. LaRaus, Esq. represents clients throughout New York State, including, but not limited to, the counties of Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Orange and Dutchess, the five boroughs of New York City, Suffolk and Nassau counties.

Family Law Alternative Dispute Resolution
There was a time when almost all divorces and matrimonial law matters went through the traditional litigation process. Today, however, family law alternative dispute resolution (ADR) is available. Certain cases may benefit from mediation or other ADR methods such as Collaborative Law rather than traditional litigation. ADR can in certain instances be more efficient, giving you much greater control over the process and the outcome.
Whenever appropriate, we help clients resolve their family law matters through ADR.
Domestic violence (DV) is an issue that has components of matrimonial law. On the matrimonial side, we protect clients against family violence and help clients navigate the complex implications that domestic violence may have on issues of divorce and family law matters.
